Bob Brown Invitational Cross Country Meet

Regina hosted the Bob Brown Invite, held in honor of Coach Brown, on 9/3/09 at the beautiful (hilly!) UI cross country course.  Coach Brown started XC at Regina and over the years developed it into a program of dedicated athletes, coaches, families and friends.  The symbol on the back of the Regina teams' jerseys is made up of his initials (BB) and a cross.  Last year, the first year of the meet, it was overcast and rainy, and just as the runners lined up at the starting line, the clouds parted and sun shone right down on the runners.  This year, we had a beautiful night for a meet.   Regina boys' and girls' teams both took first place. And after the awards ceremony, a beautiful, bright full moon was coming up in the sky above the Regina tent.   We are reminded often that Coach Brown is still with us and cheering everyone on.

This is the third year we've gotten together to do the Mennen family photos.  They are a great family and it's fun to see how the kids have changed.
